We know almost everything about the favorable position of Istrian penninsula, an area which is in the vicinity of the emissive markets, where the Central Europa meets the Mediterran.
But when we discuss about the region of Istria as a whole, we can state that precisely Motovun, thanks to its location, represents the ideal starting point to visit the surrounding natural beauties and cultural heritage.
A proof for that can be easly found in the increasing demand by both individual guests and groups, who have recognized Motovun as an ideal point for exploring the rest of the peninsula, but also Northern Italy and Slovenia. For example, the most southern point of Istria (Kamenjak) is located 70 km from Motovun, the same as Rijeka, to Trieste it takes an hour (65 km), while the distance to Postojna Cave is 85 km.
Greater engagement of Hotel Kastel’s team was needed in order to keep up with the demand. Except the standard services which was normally provided, we started with the creation of one-day and multi-day trips which included a comprehensive approach and concept: starting from transfer organization and tourist guide, lunch, dinner, local products tasting (olive oil, wine, honey) to the very ticket reservation ( e.g. NP Brijuni, Postojna Cave etc.)
Through this emerged a new and integrated products with which we are today very proud.
Visit to the Škocjan and Postojna Cave are just one of the possibilities that we offer.
